Home Services Support Products About us

We are a highly focused team of application designers and developers providing software to the Health market.

We have experience of working in both the public and private sectors in the UK, providing integration services and developing new applications using secure web technologies.

The management team initially worked together building large multi-user systems for the NHS during the 90's. The need for better integration and information sharing between disparate systems introduced us to the concept of web services (see Integrating Health Systems).

Medifusion was initially formed with a view to providing integration solutions to the health market based on these web services, enabling managers to build on the tools and systems already in place and re-using the business logic, locked in these traditional systems, in new areas.
Web technologies and XML based web services can be used to provide a resilient method of sharing sensitive patient data between disparate systems in a secure way.

The national programme (NPfIT) forced us to re-evaluate our focus and as a result the company spent two years developing a series of white-label web sites, a range of retail web services and a suite of commercial integration tools. This has given us a wealth of experience and knowledge which we were able to bring back to the Health market several years ago.

Our business focus is: -

  1. To continue developing our tools and services for the Health market, enabling managers to better utilise existing functionality and adapt without the need to throw away proven and reliable legacy systems.
  2. To offer our services as experts in migration from legacy, multivalued databases such as Reality to more commercially acceptable databases like SQL.
  3. To embrace one of the NPfIT's prime objectives, which is to give healthcare professionals access to patient information safely, securely and easily, whenever and wherever it is needed.
  4. To develop new mobile applications with dynamic two-way interfaces, allowing users to seamlessly merge and work with data from multiple back-end systems whilst on the move.
